“Agape Strong – Hide Not Your Talents” Pottery for Live Auction

The Agape Youth Council (AYC) is comprised of teenage youth that are currently being served through foster care and reunification services.  They are being mentored and taught independent living skills with the assistance of group co-facillitators Vanessa Jackson and Adrian McLemore, both young adults that grew up in the foster care system.

With the assistance of Agape staff members Danelia Moyer-Griffith and Tiffani Stuart coordinating the group,  the members of AYC are not only learning about life after foster care, but they give back to our local community by the donation of their time through community service.

Their communnity service activities have included the 2011 Air Force Marathon clean-up crew, 2012 Air Force Marathon clean-up crew, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics and reading to children at a local daycare center.

For the 2013 Agape fundrasing gala, the AYC wanted to help with donations for the live and silent auction occurring at the event.  The members of AYC and the facilitators and staff coordinators have painted pottery and donated it to be sold at this years gala.  Below are the two pieces that will be sold during the live auction.

Pottery 1 and 2 combined

The young persons that painted these particular pieces of pottery are involved in the Reunification Services Program at Agape.
